Hire Nurses And Carers – What Are Our Staff Like?
At Medilink Nursing, it’s important to us that all of our nurses have prior experience as well as regular training so that they can perform to our high standards, even in unfamiliar workplaces.
To this end, we only recruit staff with a minimum of 6 months’ UK-based experience within the past 2 years, or 2 years’ experience within the past 5. This ensures that all of our agency staff are familiar with working in UK care settings, and are able to get to work with minimal assistance when they arrive at your Home.
Furthermore, all of our staff undergo a series of training courses prior to starting work with us, and these are taken annually from then on. In an industry like ours, refresher training is important because the stakes can be high when it comes to getting things wrong. Many agency workers don’t receive regular refresher training, due to the irregular nature of their work – we make sure this isn’t the case at Medilink Nursing.
Naturally, all our staff are DBS checked (this is done by Aaron’s Department, our sister company) and these are renewed annually too.

If you need to hire a nurse or carer for your Home at short notice, you’re in luck. Medilink Nursing, we take pride in our ability to find last-minute cover in time-sensitive situations. Perhaps someone’s called in sick, or not shown up at the shift handover, and you need someone to cover ASAP – just give our head office a call, and we’ll sort things out.
