Our Services And What we Specialise in

We specialise in finding last minute care and nursing staff for our customers, but that’s not all we do! We’ve got a range of booking options, giving homes that use us the flexibility they need.

Last-Minute Cover

We have a lot of success in finding cover at short notice, and we’re proud of that! We’ve designed our system so that we can see our staff’s availabilities and get in touch with them right away. That way, even on the rare occasions we can’t find anyone in time, we won’t keep you waiting – it’ll be a quick answer either way, so you can call another agency if necessary. Ad-Hoc Cover

Dentists appointment? Kid’s sports day? We can provide cover for single shifts as and when they come up.

Short-Term Cover

If you need somebody to cover for a fixed period of time (this is usually around a week to a month, but can be as much as a year), we can have this arranged. Often, this is required to cover staff on holiday or maternity leave.

Long-Term Cover

If you’re needing anything longer than a year, we can provide staff on a semi-permanent contractual basis.

Block Bookings

For example, if you need an extra staff member every Monday and every other Tuesday, we can do this all in one booking, rather than taking a new booking every time the shift comes around.

1-to-1 Care

Many of our staff are trained in specialist areas, such as Dementia Care, Palliative Care, Overnight Care, and more. If your residents have any specific needs that require extra attention, give us a call, and we’ll find our best staff for the job.

Medilink’s Last Minute Care And Nursing Staff

We know that if you’re desperate enough, finding quality staff might not be at the top of your priorities! However, that’s nothing to worry about with Medilink Nursing. All of our staff are experienced, DBS checked, and partake in regular training courses.

Experienced Staff

We only recruit agency staff with a minimum of 6 months’ experience in the past 2 years, or 2 years’ experience in the last 5. This experience must be within the UK, and it means that our staff can quickly adjust to new workplaces with minimal training or direction – once they’ve been shown around, they’ll be able to get straight to work.

Regular Training

We provide annual training courses for our agency staff, to keep them up-to-date and refresh their knowledge. Often, agency staff go without regular training, as many agencies don’t provide it; not Medilink Nursing, however. All of our agency staff must pass courses in areas such as People Moving & Handling, Infection Control, and Medication Awareness, before they can start receiving shifts with us.

DBS Checked
